Welcome to the Village of Prairie Grove's Web Site. We are a small community in Northeastern Illinois located about 50 miles northwest of Chicago, IL and 40 miles East of Rockford IL.

The village has experienced significant growth in recent years and is poised for substantial growth beginning in the near future. It prides itself of the diverse homes but more importantly a caring and involved community. The remainder of the photographs show the beautiful scenery of our lovely community. Special News

  • Enbridge Pipeline Maintenance Scheduled:  Please be advised that beginning the week of November 3, 2014 and continuing through November a portion of Lakewood Drive in Oak Grove will be closed to accommodate pipeline maintenance work.  Please click here for more information.
  • Prairie Grove Police will be out in Force during the Thanksgiving Holiday.  The Prairie Grove Police is joining the Illinois State Police and local law enforcement agencies across the state to save more lives by strongly enforcing seat belt and impaired driving laws.  Additional enforcement will take place at night when belt use is at its lowest and impaired driving is the biggest problem.
  • Election Filing Information for April 7, 2015 Consolidated Election:  (4) four open positions available on the Village Board.  Trustee - four year term (3 open positions), Trustee - two year unexpired term (1 open position) Key Dates: Tuesday, September 23, 2014 - First date to pick up and begin circulating Nominating  Petitions, Monday, December 15, 2014 - December 22, 2014 - Nominating Petition Filing Period, Tuesday, April 7, 2015 - Election Day.  Petition Packets are available in the Village Hall or for more information please click here.
  • Stay Informed: Before, During and After an Emergency through the McHenry County Emergency Management informational bulletin.  Please click here for a copy.
  • The Village of Prairie Grove is offering it's "Buy a Brick Program". The money raised will help pay for the Village's first park. Bricks will be placed throughout the Park. Reserve your engraved permanent brick today by submitting the following Brick Order Form.

Meeting & Notices
