Welcome to the Prairie Grove Police Department web site.  The police officers and support staff are dedicated to providing the highest quality of police services to the residents of Prairie Grove, its business's and all visitors.

The Prairie Grove Police Department provides all the services of a larger municipal police force.  Several of the officers are trained in specialized functions in addition to their patrol function.  The staff of 11 includes a full time records clerk and administrative assistant.  A lieutenant, evidence technicians, juvenile officers, detectives and an accident investigator.

Major accomplishments of the department in 2009 were:

•  Established a rapport with the Prairie Grove Middle School.  The department implemented a drug and substance abuse program delivered annually to the entire fifth grade class.

•  Started a commercial vehicle enforcement team consisting of three specially trained truck enforcement officers.

•  Assisted several of the neighborhood associations in starting up their own neighborhood watch program.

•  Participation in the annual "National Night Out" program.

•  Implemented the community alert system through "Nixle".  Sign up at www.Nixle.com
